That Steve Jobs’ quote was actually referred to the original iMac, but that’s what I thought when I looked at the back of the NeXTcube shown at the Steve Jobs Exhibition in Turin’s Natural Science Museum. The exhibition was extended until April 15th and has some very rare pieces like an original Apple I. You gotta see this, expecially if you haven’t seen this yet.
SprintPress Video
I posted a video about SprintPress, the distributed publishing system on which my Master’s Degree thesis was focused, entirely designed and developed by myself.
Zik Software Seashore Wallpaper
This summer, I made a great shot of Sicily’s seashore with my new Nikon D3100 and decided to make a wallpaper out of it. Here’s how it looks like on my iPad:
If you like it, you can download it in various formats:
Masters of the (Computing) Universe
Hello everyone! I’ve been in silence for some months here, but for a good reason. In fact, on July 20th, I finally took my Master’s degree in computer science!! My thesis focused on SprintPress, a distributed publishing system entirely designed and developed by myself. I added a page describing the project on my portfolio page, thus if you’re curios you can take a look at it. Here’s a shot of the party cake, too:
Exams never end… almost never
I haven’t been able to update the site much in the last few weeks because I’ve been busy with my last exam at university. The good news is that I passed the exam with best marks, thus I completed the course for the master’s degree in computer science. Now the last step is the thesis: I will start to work on it very soon and plan to graduate in July.
Speaking about the site development progress, I added Services and Support sections, which obviously include new contents but also are the new home for the portfolio page and the legacy downloads page, respectively. I also added a stylesheet for printing and fixed the usual display bugs on IE, plus some other minor changes
Under the hood
After a week of posting new contents, this week I concentrated on improving and refining various aspects of the site, from code to contents and pages layout.
I also added addThis buttons to easily share pages, redesigned the “stay in touch” page (also adding social networks) and made many other small improvements. In the next week, the plan is to add new content again.
It’s showtime!
Another day, another product page, another video! Today is Classifiche Sprint’s turn, a database application for a football newspaper.
